Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Trevor was treated to some movie time (Green Lantern), cuddle time with Emersen, and a DQ ice cream cake. What more could a Dad want, right?? :)

Ipad time together....

Then Emersen wanted to check out her own laptop and relax in her chair :)

Emersen's ear tubes adventure

On our way to pre-register for Emersen's ear tubes outpatient procedure in Jackson. When did she get so big??

At home after our trip to Jackson. We had a good time. Our friend Linda went with us and she treated us to lunch at the Olive Garden after our appointment. Emersen ate the entire children's meal of cheese ravioli! Oh, and she got many compliments on her 'squeaky' shoes from people! :)

Getting ready for the procedure. For some reason, she felt like jumping...so we jumped and jumped while we were waiting for everything to get started.

Emersen did a great job! The procedure went well...although nobody prepared us for how she would feel post-surgery. She was a wailing mess due to the medications, but thankfully calmed down after about an hour in recovery and then slept the majority of the drive home. We will head back later this week for a follow-up appointment. Now if we could only find a solution to help her keep her ear plugs in her ears during bath time......

Trip to Indy

Emersen and I decided to hit the road together at the beginning of June to visit my family in Indy. We had a great time hanging out with cousins Logan and Zoe, playing on their new swing set, exploring their toy room, jumping on their Jump-o-lene, and going swimming (although it was too difficult to get swimming pictures since all hands were needed with 3 toddlers)! We also explored their creek; the girls loved throwing rocks into the stream and playing in the sand. It was so funny to watch the 3 girls together; Logan is in the "mine" stage and Zoe acts like Eme is a baby doll and protects her. They really had fun together!

Logan trying to pull Eme and Zoe in the wagon to the creek...she did this same thing back in October when we visited the pumpkin patch (might be the leader of the pack, huh??)

Zoe and Logan playing on their tricycle...wearing their rain boots to make a fashion statement since we were playing in the sprinkler :)

Oh boy what fun, but what a mess! S'mores! Just like any other food or clothing item, Emersen had to try it out on her head....

Just chillin' eating my first bite of chocolate! Of course, she ripped off her bib just in time for dessert! :)

My how big they have gotten!!

Summer!

Well, during the past few weeks we have definitely had the 'summer heat' in Tennessee. It starts to get extremely hot by 10 am and since Emersen loves to be outside, we try to get out early in the morning and then after dinner. Once in awhile, we will try the pool, but as you might be able to tell from the pictures, she isn't too much of a fan just yet. However, I plan on having "pool time" as much as we in hopes that one day she will love it! :)

Bikini!! Um, please get me out of here!! :)

Summer! Playing with my bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and my new shades! :)

Memorial Day 2011

We spent an awesome Memorial Day weekend in Birmingham with MiMi and Dzia Dzia! We all went to the zoo, spent a lot of time out on the wonderful screened-in porch, went out to eat for dinner, and the girls even got to go shopping while Dzia Dzia and Trevor went to the baseball tournament! Although Emersen was getting over a double ear infection and roseola, she loved exploring all of the open space at the house as well as the staircase and trying out a different high chair! :) We all had a great time and can't wait to visit again!

Dzia Dzia was daring enough to let these birds drink nectar from the cup he was holding. Emersen really wasn't too sure about the whole thing! :)
