Girls' Weekend

This past weekend Trevor was in Durham, NC with the UTM women's basketball team because they made it to the NCAA tournament (first time in school history!!). So...Eme and I spent the weekend together just hanging out....

We spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful weather outside! We took many walks, played on the ground, had a picnic with our friend Linda, and even went shopping for a little bit.

In the picture above, Emersen is showing you how much she loved being outside. Anytime we came in, she crawled right over to the door, stood up, and started banging on it to go back outside. :)

Not so sure about these shades...although they are so cute when she leaves them on.
Helping with the laundry...guess she needs a few more lessons on folding! :)
Driving the Jeep outdoors

We had a great weekend together! It is hard to believe that we had such pretty and warm spring weather last weekend...now it is only 40 degrees outside. Oh well, guess we will find some projects to do this weekend inside the house. One more week to go before Miss Emersen is one!! WOW!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Trip to Franklin, TN

Emersen and I visited my friend Shi and her family in Franklin, TN last weekend. Shi is my 'oldest' friend; we've known each other since 4th grade and to make ourselves feel really old, we figured out that we have been friends for just about 25 years!! What?!?
We had a great trip! Emersen got to sit in a booster seat and Lucy, the dog, always sat at her feet awaiting the pieces of food she dropped.

We headed to the downtown area on Saturday afternoon and we got to try Sweet Cece's frozen yogurt. It was amazing and so fun to pick out your flavors/toppings. As you can tell from these pictures, Emersen loved it too!! It was all over her face, eyebrows, chin...:) We ate the blueberry mixed with vanilla. She cried when it was all gone...too bad we don't have one of these in Martin!
For some reason, I didn't get a picture of all the kids together. Shi has 3 children and they were so nice, gentle, and caring towards Emersen. Here she is with the boys on our walk with their wagon and in their playroom. We had such a great time and we can't wait to go back and visit!!

Picture update

Emersen loves carrying things...even the laundry hamper!

Still able to crawl under the music table...but just about too big...:)
Yes, we love to climb. Even if it is after dinner and she has been unbuckled...she was supervised, you just can't see Trevor. :)
