Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween from our little monkey! We spent the day in a variety of outfits. Emersen relaxed and lounged on the couch in her glow in the dark skeleton outfit. Then she and Trevor dressed up together (except of course for the bow band in her hair). Finally, it was time for her to 'turn into' a monkey! She really did not know what to think when we put her in the monkey costume. We did get some smiles, but mostly it was "what in the world is going on?" We hope that you all enjoyed the Halloween weekend!

6 months old!!
This post is a little late since Emersen is now over 6 months old! We took some pictures of her over the weekend and wanted to share them with everyone. At six months (well, really 6 1/2 months) Emersen:
-wears size 3 diapers and 9 month clothes
-loves to jump
-can sit on her own
-rolls around on the floor to get to her toys
-scoots backwards
-smiles, smiles, smiles
-giggles
-loves music
-loves to take her socks off and play with them
-can still get her toes to her mouth :)
-eats cereal in the evening (some nights more than others)
-makes all kinds of noises and especially likes to try out her 'scream' this week

Shopping and pumpkins
Here are the last few pictures from our weekend in Indiana. All of the girls decided that they didn't really want to nap so Zoe and Logan went to a birthday party while Emersen, Aunt Megan, and myself went shopping on Sunday. Emersen loved looking at all the clothes and she was so happy in the stroller we borrowed from Aunt Megan. We shopped at Old Navy and Target. Sadly, Children's Place and Gymboree closed early...but we will hit them next time! I also gave Emersen a cup to drink from and she loved it.

Cousins!
Oh boy did Emersen have a good time with Zoe and Logan! She got to sit in one of their highchairs, play in their exersaucer and jumperoo, and laugh and giggle with them! Zoe and Logan have grown so much and are full of so much life and energy. As you can see, they really enjoy reading books and Zoe even tried to help us lay out the floor mats....she thought some pieces were necklaces but did finally help us put the pieces together. :)
Pumpkin patch!
Over this past weekend, Emersen and I decided to take a little trip together to Indiana! While we were visiting, the twins, Emersen, myself, my mom, and Megan visited the best pumpkin patch ever! They had 'corn boxes' for the kids to play in, hayrides, live music, face painting, many animals to see and pet, and tons of pumpkins! Here are just a few shots of the girls in their matching pumpkin shirts. Zoe and Logan loved the animals! Logan also enjoyed pulling the wagon around~she is so strong! All the girls had a great time!

Weekend recap
This past weekend Emersen got to visit with her Grandpa and Nana. She had such a good time with them! We got to hang out and relax on Saturday, go out for a nice walk since it was so warm, and even go to a restaurant. Emersen was fascinated by all the activity in the restaurant and she even had some rice cereal while we were eating our dinners. We were enjoying each other so much and before we knew it, the visit was over, but we all had a great time!!
This and that.....
Emersen's new favorite toy~a bowl..., her "wheat" face (definitely not a fan of wheat cereal)..., playing in the exersaucer and I had no idea that one of the hanging toys had a tail to pull which made it shake until Emersen figured it out the other day...,a happy face before heading to daycare with Dad...,and the way I found her the other morning and also the reason why we use the safety buckle now...:)

It's Batman!
Look...no hands!
So Emersen decided to surprise us over the weekend by sitting up by herself! She was a little wobbly on Saturday, but by today (Wednesday) she has it nailed. She just loves the new 'view' she has of everything; however, she does get a little frustrated when she can't get to a toy that she wants...soon enough she will figure out that out too!
Rice cereal=Yummy!!
Emersen turned 6 months old on Saturday! Can you believe it?? She tried rice cereal for the first time and it went okay. At first she thought that she was suppose to eat the bib I guess, as you can tell from the first picture. She got the 'shivers' when she tasted it at first and Saturday I think she spit out more than she swallowed, but every day since then she has eaten more of it and seems to think it tastes okay. :) Don't you love how she just grabbed onto the spoon?
Now when we try the barley and wheat cereals I am sure the 'shivers' might return! :)
