The past few weeks...

I apologize for not being the best blog updater...the evenings and weekends just seem to fly by! Emersen is really enjoying 'college' and the workers all say that she is such a happy baby. Trevor drops her off in the mornings and usually puts her in a jumper seat activity which I guess she loves! He says that she just starts jumping around and smiling. It is amazing how much she is babbling and making noises. Some days we just laugh and laugh with her! We did hear her giggle for the first time last weekend and it was adorable. She also loves mirrors right now so that is a lot of fun! Here are some pictures from the past few weeks....bathtime, Arsenal game, new car seat, in the jumper, and on my way to school with my shades!

Feet and toes

Along with rolling over both ways, Emersen is now mesmerized by her feet and toes. It is so neat to watch her realize that they are "hers"...and funny too as she tries to get them to her mouth! She also has been known to grasp toys with her toes as you can tell from the photos! Wonder what it means if you have strong toes??

4 month checkup

Emersen had her 4 month check-up this past week. I can't believe how "old" she is!!! Time is flying by way too fast. She now weighs 17lb. 1oz and is 26 inches long. According to our pediatrician, she looks great. He called her a 'chunky monkey' so of course I had to clarify that this meant 'healthy'! She also had her second round of immunizations. Luckily, she got to stay home Friday with my mom instead of going to daycare because she did have a fever and was rather fussy for most of the day and night. I think most of the side effects are gone today because she seems more like her happy self.

Trevor and I also got to see her roll over from her back to her tummy Saturday afternoon! She is getting so strong!

New Friends

Emersen has a few new friends that she would like for everyone to see...Hello Kitty, her giraffe lovie, her sock monkey, and even Kermit the Frog!! We found out on vacation that she was intrigued by Cookie Monster so Trevor has gotten some Muppets for her to laugh with! I wonder if they are more for Emersen or Trevor sometimes......haha!

Going back to work

Trevor and I both had to go back to work this past week; Trevor started on Aug. 1st and I headed back for a week of staff development on Aug. 2nd. We had such a great summer off and were both sad to leave Emersen for the 'days', as the past four months with her just flew by. Emersen will start going to 'college' daycare (as we call it) on August 16th and until then, MiMi and Nina are going to take care of her. This past week MiMi came and helped us out which we were very thankful for!! Emersen got to exercise all week in her new exer-saucer and we all even had dinner at the table together since she has her own chair to sit in thanks to MawMaw! I am very excited to be able to have family dinners at the table now and as you can tell from the pictures, Emersen really likes being in the middle of the action! She also got to visit Trevor's office on Friday and he took a picture of the 2 of them before they left the house. Even though we all had a good week, we are looking forward to relaxing this weekend!
