First pool time!
Emersen had her first pool time while visiting in Indy. It was a spur of the moment activity, but we had a lot of fun! Logan and Zoe love playing in the water; Emersen was not too sure about it, but did let me put her feet in the water for a bit. :)
Fun times in Indy
Here are a few pictures of the twins and Emersen. Logan and Zoe have grown so much and are walking and talking all the time. They are taking survival swim lessons since they live on a pond and I cannot believe how fast they have learned to roll over and float. I only saw one lesson, but it was amazing! They both loved looking at Emersen and Zoe would wave to her all the time.

Getting stronger!
Emersen is beginning to enjoy tummy time a little bit more now. For some reason, she seems to enjoy tummy time in her crib as you can tell from the photos. It is amazing how fast she is changing and growing stronger! She really likes lifting her head up now to check out her toys and she really likes the toys that light up!
Emersen's first trip
Well, Emersen had her first trip this past week. We visited my family in Indianapolis and had a wonderful week! Emersen did great on the car ride up there until about the last hour and then she was ready to get out and stretch. We did so many things during our visit that it will take a couple of posts in order to show our fun. :)
On our first night there it stormed like crazy and when we woke up in the morning, their pond was very flooded. Luckily, the water did not reach the house and this picture is of our friend Chuck two days after the flood happened (he is standing on their dock which was still under water).
While we were there, Emersen watched her cousins play a lot (they provided unlimited hours of activity to watch because they are busy busy walking toddlers), went on a walk, watched her cousins during their survival swim lessons, met two huge dogs, went "swimming", and grew! Trevor and I also celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary by going out for a few hours on our own. It was our first outing together without Emersen...but luckily, my mom sent us text updates on how she was doing!! :)
We had a great time and as always, the time went by too fast and before we knew it, we had to get back into the car again. On the way home we figured out that it was much easier to feed/change her at rest areas, although she is not a fan of being changed in the restroom so we did it outside in the shade. :)
We had such a good time with Nina (my mom), Aunt Megan, Uncle Todd, and cousins Logan and Zoe~thank you so much for a great week!

More visitors
Emersen was really lucky to have more visitors come to play with her last weekend. My Dad and Alice visited us and we had a great time!! We even got to spend some time outside on Saturday evening after it cooled down outside and Emersen woke up from her nap. Trevor used this time to take some more pictures too. It was a great weekend!

New tricks
This week Emersen decided to learn some new tricks. First, she learned how to grasp and hold onto a rattle. Then, she successfully got her thumb into her mouth! She now gives us some "sleep signals" (other than crying)..she puts one hand behind her head and plays with the little bit of hair back there while she puts some part of her other hand in her mouth. She sure was busy this week! :)

Hot, Hot, Hot...and Doctor's appointment
Earlier this week on Monday, I decided to take Emersen on a quick walk before it got too hot...little did I know, after we got started I realized that it was already very humid outside. Anyway, I decided to just walk fast in order to get home quicker...which of course made me sweaty, but we made it! Thought I would just share her cute little "romper" outfit. :)
On Thursday, Emersen had her 2 month checkup (really, she is at 9 weeks). It was a good appointment other than the fact that she had her first round of immunizations. She did let out a good cry, but calmed down after about 5 minutes. She now weighs 14 lbs, 2 oz., and is 24 inches long! Needless to say, she is definitely growing every day. You might notice her baby wrinkles in the pictures..yes, they are on her legs as well as her arms! :)
