I love the mobile...

Emersen is not a fan of waking up from naps, so when she begins to wake up we turn on her mobile and she loves it! These pictures are a little dark (we can't turn on the lights too fast!!) but will hopefully show how much she moves while she is watching the animals/lights move around.

7 weeks....

This post is a little late, but we had some severe weather that knocked out our internet earlier in the week. Anyway, here are some current pictures of Emersen who is now 7 weeks old!! We tried to go outside for a bit on Sunday, but it was way too hot for her; she promptly told us how unhappy she was with the humidity...not sure how to get rid of that for her since our summers are so humid. :)

Family visits

We were lucky to have many visitors this month! My mom visited earlier in the month and was a big help! With her here, I was able to take a nap every day, run errands, go to the dentist, and do a few things around the house. Maw Maw and Mi Mi came over on Mother's Day evening on their way back through to Indiana from Arkansas. Dzia Dzia visited us last weekend and he helped with Emersen's first outing. We took her to visit Trevor at work at the softball tournament. She did great..slept the whole time! Emersen enjoyed spending time with everyone and she can't wait to see them again as well as have more visitors!

Tummy time is so hard!

Emersen is not a huge fan of tummy time. She grunts and struggles, but sometimes she really enjoys herself when she finally lifts her head up and looks around. As you can tell, once she does it a couple of times, then she needs to take a break! These pictures are from 2 different tummy time "sessions" so hopefully you can kind that she has been working on building her muscles!!

Six weeks old today!!

Emersen is six weeks old today! She has grown so much~I am sure you can tell from these pictures. She now enjoys sitting in her nap nanny and watching everything, going on stroller walks, stretching out on the changing table, and playing with her rain forest activity mat. We are enjoying every second with her!

Bath "spa" time

We have found out that Emersen does not like to get cold before getting into her bathtub. In order to solve this problem, I pulled out a space heater that we had in the closet and we use this (always supervised!!) to warm up the bathroom. She immediately gets relaxed before getting into the bath. It looks as if she feels like she needs to plug her nose in one picture...she makes the funniest faces! As you can tell, she really likes the warmth and she can't wait until she is old enough for a trip to a real spa!

Hard to believe she is four weeks old!

Wow, these past four weeks have flown by! We can't believe that our little girl is already one month old! Emersen and I headed to the doctor for her one month checkup. It was our first outing together and it went really well. She now weighs 11 pounds, 7 oz! Our pediatrician says that she looks "spectacular" and is well proportioned. :)

Third week fun...

Emersen started to really show her strength during the third week. She started holding her head up so well! I was also lucky enough to share my birthday with our beautiful daughter and we had an awesome visit with Aunt Megan!

On to the second week...

Here are some favorites from Emersen's second week-I guess she slept a lot this week and started to make some funny faces!

First stroller walk...

Emersen got to go outside for her first stroller walk and I was so excited to get out of the house! She was so alert and just looked around the whole time. It wasn't a very long walk, but it felt great! Now if we can only find the solution to keeping the pesky sun out of her eyes...
